I have known Kristin all my life. She is clever, inspired, innovative and truly (crazy) obsessed with all things French. She has travelled literally (and virtually) to bring a touch of European sophistication to the heart of Newcastle and is ‘hell bent’ on starting a scooter revolution there through her scooter boutique Greg & Audrey’s Garage. Not only does she sell stylish scooters but also a gorgeous array of clothing and accessories, many with a French or Italian flavour.
Oh, and did I mention she is my big sister? You can meet her here …
Tell us a bit about you, fabulous you!
I created and now run ‘Greg and Audrey’s Garage’ a scooter boutique in Newcastle’s CBD. I share my life with the gorgeous Felipe, 12 year old Saskia, and 14 year old (deaf and blind) blue heeler Flip and we live amongst the trees in New Lambton Heights. I adore riding my scooter and am sure I wear a stupid grin on my face whilst doing so.
Who inspires you?
Every single mother on the planet.
What can’t you live without?
Wine. Scarves. Any books about France. Family. Not necessarily in that order.
Do you have a favourite blog/s?
Pink Patent Mary Janes by friend and fellow Francophile, Linda Drummond. ‘Frog between the Flags’ by my ‘real’ French friend and Carole Mandicourt. ‘The Blue Coast’ by my friend’s friend Su who is living my life in the south of France. Can you see the obsession here?
How do you like to spend your spare time?
My what?
Best time saving or sanity saving idea/tip for mamas?
Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals, even if they take 30, you’re on a winner. Use Aussie Farmers Direct to reduce the number of visits to the supermarket – you’ll save time and feel virtuous.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Waiting for my daughter to finish her HSC then taking a plane to, you guessed it, France (with her of course, and Felipe).
What is your favourite quote?
When you’re going through hell, keep going – Winston Churchill.
